Undoubtedly, I am going to have to present an argument against me not being racist. So, here goes...
My girlfriend is Mexican, my children's mother is half Cuban. My best friend, whom I met in French class in high school, just so happens to be Filipino. I have many friends from around the world that represent many different countries, skin colors, people groups, languages, and religions. Growing up, our family hosted foreign exchange students from Asia, Europe, and South America.
I believe in the sanctity of all human life.
When I was 19, I lived with a French/Italian family in St. Denis, France. Before, during, and after this time, I studied French and have become functional enough and educated enough to become credentialed by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing to teach French at the adult education level.
My ex-wife and I sent our oldest son on a foreign exchange program through Pepperdine University, where he lived in Switzerland and visited numerous European countries and two African countries. We both encouraged this so that he could expand his world-view and become more culturally literate.
I work as a consultant for a company located in Auckland, New Zealand with an office in Sydney, Australia. We work with clients and other tax professionals throughout the world, especially in Australasia. Many of my own clients are also located in Australasia.
I have taught multiple subjects, including ELA, at one of the most ethnically diverse school districts in California, with students from over 30 different countries. Never once did I have a single one of my students complain about me being racist. I challenge you look through my older posts on my website, and you will find information that I posted for my DACA students.
I do not condone government profiling based solely on demographics, race, religion, or socio-economic statuses. I do condone predictive policing based on crime information analytics, so long as it is not abused and is used properly. I do understand and acknowledge that this may be an issue with some police departments.
Black Lives Matters is not some benevolent organization that simply wants to help black people. Two of their founders are "trained Marxists." Marxism is inconsistent with the US Constitution and the American way of life. We waged the Cold War to fight Communism, and I steadfastly refuse to support any form of Communism, Marxism, or Socialism. If standing in bread lines gets you off, move to China, Cuba, North Korea, or Venezuela. If being jailed or killed for your religion makes you happy, again, move to China, Cuba, North Korea, or Venezuela. Move there, but do not import a proven failure of a political / economic system into the United States.
Black Lives Matters also aims to disrupt the traditional family structure. Not everyone has a family, so alternative family structures are absolutely a good thing. The problem is that this is not what Black Lives Matters aims to do. They want to distort what the vast majority of the people consider a traditional family and traditional family values.
Black Lives Matter also have embraced criminal activity, as demonstrated by their violence, rioting, and looting in several cities across the country.
People often ask me to prove my position that Black Lives Matters is what I just stated above.
Here you go...
BLM, What We Believe (website):
Taken directly from the BLM website:
"We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.
We foster a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise)."
